What is Jesmonite?

Jesmonite is water-based, non-solvent and contains no VOCs. Jesmonite is a composite material made from sustainable natural gypsum, fillers and pure water based acrylic resin. While it does have an acrylic polymer liquid component, it's an essential part to making the material as versatile and resilient as it is, allowing for the creation of higher quality products.

Can you tell me about your sustainable measures?

In addition to the sustainable natural gypsum base and Jesmonite manufacturing process, additional steps are taken as a creator to minimize our footprint. These include:

- Repurposing leftover materials from castings (ie, this is where we get our terrazzo chips!).

- Utilizing re-usable tools (ie buckets, bowls, mixing blades, gloves, towels, etc). In full transparency we do use disposable items such as paper towels and sandpaper when needed.

- Ensuring waste water is correctly filtered and disposed of (after multiple uses of course).

- Shipping with recycled and recyclable materials.

Do you take custom orders?

Yes! If you have a favorite color or combo that's not offered in the product you want, just send us a note so we can discuss options and timeline. There is no upcharge for custom orders.

Can I order an item if its out of stock?

Yes! Just note that it will take 1-2 weeks additional to ship your order.
